About Us
EZ Storm Panels is a family business rooted in the metro Detroit community. It's run by a father and son team and is proud to help customers nationwide improve the comfort of their homes.
Don Veryser first encountered the need for attractive and affordable window insulation while volunteering with St. Vincent de Paul of Detroit. As a part of his volunteer work, Don would visit the homes of people in need and help collect donations to cover utility bills or meet an urgent need. In the harsh Detroit winters, drafty windows were causing costly energy bills and significantly impacting people's quality of life. After finding the existing window insulation options unsatisfactory, Don started tinkering with designs for an interior storm window solution.
Don is an inventor, and creativity is at the heart of our products. He designed interior storm windows that combined a custom frame with high insulation-factor clear vinyl. The frame is a novel design that builds tension across the entire panel, providing a clear view. On December 18, 2012, U.S. Patent No. D672,888 was issued to Mr. Veryser for the unique frame design used in the EZ Storm product line.
Don Veryser ran Stampings Inc, a family business and Tier II supplier for the automotive industry, from 1980 to 2008. Many philosophies for achieving zero defects are used in our manufacturing process for EZ Storm Panels.
Our history in automotive taught us some of the most rigorous and demanding practices to deliver reliable products. This taught us the importance of applying the concept of "design for manufacture" to our product and assembly. By efficiently streamlining processes and using materials, we're able to offer high quality products at an extremely competitive price.
Your support of EZ Storm Panels allows us to continue serving our community. Don and the EZ Storm Panels team support our neighbors in the Metro Detroit Area through volunteering and other charitable work.
